SUPPORT GROUPS…
LITTLES: 3-5 year olds. Facilitators use reflective play with toys, games and art to help children mourn.
KIDS: 6-8 year olds. Facilitators play appropriate games, and use art activities as well as some toys to help children express themselves.
TWEENS: 9-12 year olds. Facilitators set up activity stations and use a variety of art, games and storytelling activities to help children deal with the loss of a loved one.
TEENS: 13-18 year olds. Teens enjoy conversational sharing about their losses, their feelings, coping strategies, and building new relationships with teens who have experienced a loss.
ADULTS: There are 4 support groups for adults.
1) Loss of a Spouse (less then one year)
2) Loss of Spouse (more than a year)
3) Loss of a Child
4) Other loss
VOLCANO ROOM: The 3 younger groups get to "let out the big stuff" in a special room, facilitated by caring adults.
